Singapore

I always wanted to do travel posts on my blog as I have a lot of content to share. I have been traveling frequently for quite a few years alhamdulillah and as much as I love photography, I love sharing pictures of beautiful places around the world. I believe traveling gives you exposure to different kind of places, people and culture.

In the summers of 2015 right after Eid ul Fitr, we planned a family trip to Malaysia and Singapore. Some of you might know that I am a pharmacist. I was in the third year at that time and one of my exams got delayed which I had to take early(unnecessary details). I mentioned because my exams had  always been a hurdle in our trips. :D Anyway, we first went to Malay and then to Singapore.

Singapore is a small, beautiful island city and the fact that its so neat and clean makes it more appealing to the tourists. We stayed for around 3 days that were enough to explore the city. I am sharing the photos that I got to capture while wandering around. Also mentioning the name of the places below the photos.

Ramadan Mubarak

Assalamualikum to all the lovely followers. Its my first Ramadan in a new country after marriage. I do miss Ramadan back home in Karachi but all set to enjoy this holy month here in Muscat, Oman.
As a Muslim, we should share happiness with our fellow brothers and sisters. So the idea popped into my mind that why not to bake some yummy cupcakes and distribute them in the neighbourhood. Also gave it to a British family(non Muslim) and the man after thanking said.. Alhamdulillah. ๐Ÿ˜‡
I used the Betty Crocker's milk chocolate cake mix and the cupcakes turned out to be fluffy and light weighed (10/10). Whereas I would rate the whipping cream mix 5/10 because its consistency was not good enough for frosting.

Remember me in my family in your prayers.

Date Night At Home

CRISPY ZINGER FISH

Hello you alll, hope everyone is doing greatttt. I know most of us are trying to beat the summer heat these days and especially those living in Karachi have to deal with the humid weather as well. Today the recipe I am going to share is for all of you but especially for the married couples who in the midst of their busy lives have almost forgotten to take some time out for themselves. Place a table and two chairs in any cosy corner of the house, hang on some fairy lights, light a few candles and you are ready for a perfect date night at home.
I love fish and chips. Alot. But unfortunately my husband is not a great fan of it. So I decided to do a slight variation of KFC's recipe and the result was awesome.

Ingredients:
For marination:
Fish 4 pcs
Soya sauce 1 tbsp
Hot sauce 2-3 tbsp
Black pepper 1 tsp

Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Green chillies chopped 3
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
Lemon 1
Salt a/c to your taste

For coating:
Flour 10 tbsp (heaped)

Cornflour 2 tbsp (heaped)
Baking soda 2 tsp

Salt 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1-1.5 tsp
Black pepper 1-1.5 tsp

Method:
Marinate the fish for 2-3 hours and refrigerate.

Then coat it with the ingredients mentioned.
Dip in cold water and then coat again.
Shake off the excess flour mixture.

Fry on medium flame till golden brown.

Note: Make sure the oil is medium hot otherwise the coating would not be crispy.

For the dip:
Boiled Potato 1
Garlic clove 1
Green chillies 2
Lemon (small) 1
Yogurt (quantity depends on the consistency you want)
Black pepper 1 tsp
Cheese cream 2 tbsps
Salt a/c to your taste
Olive Oil 1 tbsp

Blend all of these in a blender.

Best of luck!
